We shared about Fiddle Fest last year, and so many of you ended up attending and loving it! Well, it’s that time of year again. The festival will be September 24-26th this year. It’s at Green Valley Park, and is a free event!
Friday night kicks off the festivities with a concert by 2 different groups. Bring a blanket to sit on, a sweatshirt, and some snacks. The concert begins at 6pm – make a date night of it!
Saturday is the big day! Starting at 9 am, competitors of all ages will perform against one another for a chance to be crowned fiddle champion. Even if you don’t consider yourself a fan of bluegrass, I guarantee you will be amazed by the talent these musicians have! It’s really incredible. There will be food vendors on site, so you’ll have a chance to enjoy some tasty food while you watch the competition.
Sunday morning, it’s time for church, gospel style! The Arizona Wildflowers are a group of young sisters from Casa Grande, who will be performing classic gospel favorites. After that, it’s time for the showdown, fiddle style. Rounds 1 and 2 of the Grand Championship will commence in order for a champion to be crowned!
