LOCAL FAVORITE: The Rusty Pine Cone

The Rusty Pine Cone has been a staple of Pine and Strawberry for as long as I can remember. They’ve grown and expanded over the years, and are now known as an amazing 1-stop shop for a wide array of unique one-of-a-kind items.

Outside the store, you’ll find a really cool collection of outdoor metal sculptures – plants, animals, and more. Head inside where there are the coolest odds and ends in every nook and cranny. A large portion of the store sells items made from local artisans. There’s jewelry, clothing, candles, jams/jellies, crochet items, home décor, toys, art, and the list goes on. I dare you to not find something you want to take home!

After you and your crew have picked out an assortment of souvenirs, go back outside to Elky’s Food Truck. At Elky’s you can grab some delicious dessert, or even a full meal (highly recommend the elk chili when the have it!). Take your time eating, and then go rent e-bikes to help you cruise around the rest of Pine! Seriously, The Rusty Pine Cone has it all!!

Make sure you pop in during the holiday season too. The Rusty Pine Cone transforms into Santa's workshop. Mr. and Mrs. Claus are there for pictures, and their elves join to help kids shop for their parents. How fun is that!?
