LOCAL FAVORITE: Old County Burger

Pine and Strawberry’s newest eatery is open, and we’re loving it! Old County Burger launched early summer 2025, by the same culinary mind as Old County Inn. They serve up mouthwatering smash burgers, drinks, crinkle cut fries, and desserts. Keep reading to learn more about what to expect from your visit to Old County Burger, and why we love it so much!

Old County Burger is in Pine, located at 6240 Hardscrabble Mesa Rd. It’s just off Highway 87, so whether you’re heading into Strawberry or driving from Strawberry, it’s really easy to find. You won’t be able to miss the big signage outside the building.

I should note that this spot DOES get busy, so plan accordingly. When you arrive, you’ll place your order at the counter (pro tip – take a peak at their menu online so you’re ready!). There’s a decent chance you’ll need to wait in line to order, especially if you’re trying to grab lunch or dinner at peak times. Enjoy the chance to people watch and chat with the friendly locals and visitors. Once you order and pay, grab a seat inside or outside while you wait for your food. We’ve ordered pretty much everything on the menu at this point, and we’ve loved it all so far.

Carson and I both love The Big Bob Burger, and the girls go back and forth on choosing between The Nash and the Da-What (Grilled cheese). Old County Burger even offers Gluten Free buns now! Baby Boy just takes bites of everyone’s food for now, but will no doubt be scarfing down his own order in no time.

We’re so excited to have yet another great restaurant in the community! Pine-Strawberry has become quite the foodie destination and it’s so amazing! Make sure it’s on your list to check out next time you’re in the area. Book a stay at The Strawberry Inn as your foodie getaway home base. You’ll have a berry good time!
