If you've visited Old County Inn in the neighboring town of Pine, then you know it is anything but your average small town restaurant. We LOVE Old County Inn for one thousand different reasons, but we will give you a quick list of our top five favorite things about this scratch-made restaurant! Known for their mouth-watering wood-fired pizzas, local ingredients, craft cocktails, and ambiance, we know it will quickly become one of your favorite stops in Rim Country, too!

#1: This eatery is owned by our good friends Mike & Jessie Dahling, who opened their doors the same summer that we launched The Strawberry Inn! It has been so much fun growing our businesses and being a part of the community alongside one another over the past years since 2016! We can't possibly say more good things about their different eateries around town!

#2: Dining at OCI is not only delicious, but it is FUN! With yard games like giant connect four and corn hole out on their patio, it's fun to grab a drink while you wait for your table and play together. Our girls loved their connect four so much that we ordered one for the Inn as well! Not to mention, you're looking at a gorgeous view of the mountains! On Friday & Saturday nights, they have live music to enjoy. There are always kids dancing to the music under the market lights and families gathered around the little fire pit. The ambiance is unlike any other!
#3: OCI hosts lots of special events throughout the year - they know how to make a celebration fun! The St. Patty's Parade is one of our favorite events to attend. There's green beer and corned beef and cabbage, a parade of vehicles, and giveaways galore! They also host a donation to the Humane Society every year. The Nash Bash (named after their toddler son) is their Halloween get together with pony rides, candy, and food and drink specials. So fun!

#4: The food of course! My personal faves are the green chile beer cheese, buffalo potato chips, Arizona greens salad, and of course the PIZZA! Carson loves the "meat pie" - made with fresh sausage (made right in the kitchen in Pine!) as well as bacon and pepperoni. I love the Hawaiian BBQ pizza!

#5: Great wine list & Taproom for a night cap or fun outing. We love sneaking away for a night cap at the Taproom or entertaining another couple when they visit town. You can often catch live music there, too, and the patio is one of the best spots to watch the local elk heard as they come down into town in the evenings. Magical!
All in all, you've got to make it a priority to visit Old County Inn when you're in our neck of the woods. Keep in mind they are closed Mondays & Tuesdays! Let us know what you think - and what delicious menu items you tried!
