First up, B. Reyes recently published her first book in a new YA Fantasy series, and was SO gracious to share a copy with us! From the description:

"Isle of Daktari is book one of three in this trilogy series. This series is inspired by LOTR and C.S. Lewis' Screwtape Letters. It features Elves, Shifters, Dragons, Trolls, Fae, a Dark villain who wields a special kind of dark magic. This book is riddled withl ove and betrayal, found family, as unexpected alliances begin to form. Adira has broken the most important decree which costs her to flee to seek refuge in the Enchanted Forest. Will she be found and sentenced to death? Or will she escape death's eternal kiss and find refuge for herself and the life of her unborn child? One thing is certain, a war is coming, and both realms will have to pick a side."

Moving into non-fiction, Diana Elizabeth Steffen wrote a book called "In Repair: A Guide to Healing from a Broken Engagement." While the subject itself seems very specific, this book can be helpful for a variety of hard life changes! Thank you for sharing a copy, Diana! From the description:

"A broken engagement is complex. You were at the ultimate high point of love—planning your dream wedding and future—and, suddenly, the dreams disappeared. It is unlike those people who had a marriage dissolve—who wore the dress, said the I do’s, cut the cake and lived a married life for a few years. They got to experience marriage. They got to have the wedding, the first home, the relationship (whether perfect or not), while an engaged person dreamt of it, romanticized it, and set their future on that picture-perfect life. When that expectation of a perfect future suddenly dissolves, picking up the pieces turns into a nightmare."

Last up, it's a 2 for 1! Author Amy Carney has two fabulous books that just got dropped off at The Little Free Library that you'll definitely want to add to your reading list. First is 'Parent on Purpose.' From the description:

"Amy Carney talks straight about the problems parents face when it comes to raising a child in today’s complicated world. and then shares practical advice, solutions and strategies on how to better connect family values with your behaviors, attitudes, and decisions while simultaneously preparing your son or daughter for adulthood."

Amy also wrote a lovely book called 100 Questions for Mom that is the perfect gift for any mom or mother figure! From the description:

"The memories we share with our families are an invaluable treasure. This reflective mom's journal is full of writing prompts that make it easy to record and share treasured stories from Mom, including recollections of her childhood, love and friendship, favorite things, and more. Celebrate special occasions, including birthdays and Mother's Day, by giving Mom this charming journal."

What a wonderful initiative to support local authors and promote community reading! 📚 I’ve recently been setting up my own little free library and found some great budget-friendly supplies—like book stands, signs, and decorative touches—on temu.com UK. It’s amazing how small details can make it feel even more inviting!
