Let’s Go, Girls! (Girls Getaway Guide)

Updated: Jul 5, 2022

We all know that Strawberry is perfect for a romantic getaway, or a family trip. But what about a bachelorette party? It may not be Vegas, but we think Strawberry has a special charm that will make your bachelorette getaway one for the record books! Even if your besties aren’t all about nature, Strawberry has something for everyone. Read through for our recommendations of where to stay, what to do, and what to bring!

First up: where to stay! We have so many different accommodations to choose from, but for a weekend with the girls, I suggest booking one of the larger cabins like The Guest House. That way, everyone has plenty of space to spread out! The Guest House has a massive kitchen that is perfect for brunch and mimosas, with a big dining room table for game night. The Bunk House, another cabin option, sleeps up to 8 guests in one room with 4 queen bunk beds - the ultimate girls sleepover! With a private side yard with a hot tub, this is another perfect accommodation to book. Another fun lodging idea is to book Cottages 14, 15, & 16. The three cottages surround the Upper Park Yard, making a great central hangout spot! Each cottage has its own semi-private outdoor space too.

Next up: what to do during your bachelorette weekend! Despite being a small town, there is so much to do here! Here’s a quick rundown of activity suggestions:

  • Brunch at the cabin

  • Pizza night at Old County Inn

  • Drinks at The Chalet

  • Antique shopping for “something old”

  • Game night!

  • Open mic night at THAT Brewery (for the brave, musical member of your girl gang!)

  • Hiking the Pine Trailhead

  • Kayaking at Blue Ridge Reservoir

  • Coffee at Windmill Coffee

Lastly: what should you bring? We have dishes, pots and pans, and essentials for your use. But, you’ll want to bring all the fun themed “extras.” Bring a photo backdrop for group pics, matching shirts, custom cookies for the occasion, décor, and of course, any food or drinks you want to make sure you have on hand. We do have a great little grocery store in Pine for anything you accidentally leave behind. For any decorations you might be surprising the bride with, keep in mind we do not allow guests to put any nails or hanging hardware in the walls. Come equipped with things that are easily set up and won't put any damage for future guests.

A bachelorette weekend is the perfect opportunity to create some amazing memories with your best girlfriends before you head down the aisle with the love of your life! Give us a call if you need help deciding which accommodation is best for your group. We can’t wait to have you and your crew!
