Getting Strawberry Inn-gaged?

Updated: Apr 12, 2021

One of the absolute BEST parts about owning the Inn is getting to be a part of life’s big moments for our guests. Babymoons, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoons, and of course, ENGAGEMENTS have all been known to happen right here. We aren’t too humble to say that we have a very high success rate for proposals at the Inn. We even had two during Valentine’s Weekend this year!

So today, we’re sharing ideas for making your Strawberry engagement completely perfect.

First things first, don’t forget about the reservation add-ons. I highly recommend the rosé and wine package. Pop the big question, put a ring on it, and then break open the rosé! Bonus – you get to take home the wine glasses as a lasting souvenir of your engagement getaway.

Now for some ideas about where to pop the question! There are a lot of great spots nearby for an epic proposal, but for the sake of brevity, we’ve narrowed it down to 3.

1. Tonto Natural Bridge. We’ve seen engagement photos here, and they’re amazing! While you can’t really go wrong with any spot in this State Park, I recommend taking a scouting trip beforehand to pick out a spot. And one extra tip: if you can arrange for a friend to meet you at the park and find a good spot to hide and take photos, you won’t regret it! And your future spouse will treasure having the photos too!

2. On-site at the Inn. One of the most recent Strawberry Inn proposals involved someone spelling out ‘Will You Marry Me?’ in pinecones on the front lawn of the Inn! The future bride stepped out of her room that morning and saw the sweet message from the balcony. How sweet! Other ideas: there is a very romantic little bridge in the Lower Park. Take a walk together that ends at the bridge! Last on- site idea: bring your telescope, and set up a night of star gazing on the front lawn before asking the question that will change your lives.

3. Rim Lakes Vista Overlook. If you and your future spouse are both nature lovers, this is the spot for you. The views are completely epic and will make for the perfect setting for your engagement. Situated by Woods Canyon Lake on top of the Mogollon Rim, the breathtaking cliffs will quickly become your favorite Northern Arizona spot. Just like with Tonto Natural Bridge, I recommend trying to arrange for someone to take photos during your big moment.

If you’re planning a Strawberry Inn-gagement, shoot us a message! We’d love to be in on your big surprise!
