We were recently honored to be selected as a small class of individuals and businesses throughout Arizona as the inaugural inductees at the AZ Innovator Awards. From their website: “azf Innovators are a carefully chosen group of 20 individuals across a range of disciplines, including architecture, arts, education, entertainment, health & wellness, philanthropy, sports technology and more, who have each made a positive difference inspiring and enriching the lives and well-being of others as leaders and experts in their respective fields. Each Innovator will nominate other individuals and businesses within their respective category to pay the honor forward.”
It was incredible to meet all of the other award recipients, and beyond humbling to be a part of the list. Over the summer, we participated in the interview process and photoshoot (we brought our dog along for the fun!). We were asked to share about other businesses who inspire us as boutique hotel owners, and some of our history with the business. In November, we attended the gala to celebrate all of the honorees! It was an incredible evening under the stars at an historic property in Central Phoenix. It was so inspirational to learn about all the other innovators in other fields. From philanthropists, designers, artists, media professionals, and more, we left the event so in awe of everyone we met!
The event itself was very fun and hip. The dress code was cocktail attire with sneakers. This made Carson VERY happy, as he always wants to wear sneakers with dress clothes, haha!
We look forward to participating in the future, and are really excited for the new direction of AZF!
