Three Types of Valentine's Getaways

I seriously cannot believe that we're already in February! January felt like the fastest month ever. We've been busy piecing together some really fun Valentine options for guests coming up on the weekends before and after Valentine's Day. We've shared on social media all about the special add-on that we created that includes some really cute cookie decorating kits! Getting away with your special someone in Strawberry for the holiday is always a really sweet time. There's a little something for everyone! Keep reading to see my suggestions for all types of experiences depending on what you and your sweetie are into!

Three types of Valentine's getaways:

1. For the romantic. I can't think of many things more romantic than sitting under the stars in a hot tub with my Valentine and sipping rosé. Many of our properties include private hot tubs, and our Valentine's Day add-on includes wine glasses and rosé. During the day, head out for a short drive to the nearby winery in Clear Creek. Back in town, make sure to grab some fudge at Pine Creek Fudge & Espresso!

2. For the adventure seeker. We have adventure options in abundance here in Rim Country! One of my favorite romantic adventure spots is a bit of a drive, but SO worth it. Head to the Rim Lakes Vista Overlook and soak up the incredible views, and then take a hike around Woods Canyon Lake. Closer to the Inn, one of my favorite hikes is the Colonel Devin Trail at Washington Park Trailhead. The trail meanders alongside a creek with loads of tree cover. Lastly, bring your telescope and plan to do some incredible star gazing. You'll be mesmerized by the number of constellations you can see without all the city lights!

3. For the small-town charm lovers. Carson and I always love visiting the amazing little shops and restaurants here in town. There is no shortage of unique spots that you won't find anywhere else. Here's what I suggest for your time together: go antique shopping in Pine, grab breakfast at Randall House, lunch at Pie Bar, dinner at Old County Inn, visit the Honey Stand, and pick out souvenirs at The Rusty Pinecone. Of course, there are so many other great places to check out, too!

Valentine's Day falls on a Monday this year, so you could easily plan to come up the weekend before or after, or do a mid-week vacation, too! We still have availability in a variety of lodging options. Head to our reservations tab to check it all out and book today!

XOXO,

Amber & Carson
