Giving Back This Holiday Season

It is so easy to get wrapped up in exchanging gifts, attending holiday events, and all of the excitement and fun that comes with the holiday season. Here at The Strawberry Inn, we know that there are many people each year who find themselves in need during the holidays. We love to help out and give back to our communities to make this time of year an easier season for others. If you are looking for ways to give back as well this year, we'd love to tell you about some of our favorite organizations!

This facility classifies itself as 'Food Banking Reimagined' with 4 locations in the valley. Their concept ensures a one-stop "mini-mart" shopping experience where individuals can come and get food items, clothing, and childcare supplies. There is even a play corner for children who visit. Our team has been fortunate enough to volunteer here many times throughout the years - each time we are in awe at the amazing people we are able to meet and interact with while serving. At Christmas time, Santa even stops by the HCC to visit with children and make their day!

The HCC makes it easy to contribute donations - Check out the best items to donate here. During the holiday season, the center also accepts donations of un-wrapped Christmas gifts for children. They accept toys, books, gift cards, and more for children of all ages. This year, it was evident that they needed a lot more items for young babies and teens as well. You can find donation times for each location here.

If you'd like to volunteer at this amazing center, here is more information on how to get involved. We know you will enjoy it - it is such a special place that we make a point to visit at least once per year.

MVF is a volunteer organization in Rim Country that raises funds to support programs for children in Pine and Strawberry as well as emergency needs of families and individuals in both communities. Each year, they host a toy drive and our team loves to donate items to make the local children's season merry and bright.

This year, they are in need of new un-wrapped gifts like games, sporting goods, and gift cards for the ages of 12-18 years old. Though their local collection spots stopped collecting on 12/19, you can still send a donation to PO Box 715, Pine, AZ 85544 and they will do the shopping for you!

We hope you will give back in whatever way you can this season, or in the new year to come. Thank you for supporting both of our communities!
